KDE-PIM is an application suite for KDE, the K Desktop Environment.

The KDE-PIM applications help you to organize your mail, addresses, todo's, appointments, and so on. Beyond this, it allows you to let your computer communicate with your handy and pda.

September, 21 2001 Cornelius Schumacher posted the current roadmap for KDE-PIM-development to the KDE-PIM-mailinglist.

The KDE-PIM-suite consists of the following components:
KMail KMail, an email client that is designed to be fully compatible with Internet mailing standards including MIME, SMTP, POP3 and IMAP.
KAddressbook KAddressbook, an addressbook viewer / frontend for KDE.
KOrganizer KOrganizer, the calendar and scheduling program for KDE.
KPilot KPilot is a replacement for the Palm Desktop software from Palm Inc, which makes your Palm/Palm Pilot/Visor computer capable of exchanging information with your Linux powered computer.
Kandy Kandy aims at providing synchronisation of phonebook, organizer and other data on your mobile phone with the data stored on the desktop.
KArm Karm tracks time spent on various tasks. It is useful for tracking hours to be billed to different clients or just to find out what percentage of your day is spent playing Doom or reading Slashdot.
KAlarm KAlarm provides a quick way of setting up alarm/reminder messages to yourself. The messages pop up on the screen at the time you specify.

All PIM-applications mentioned above (except KAlarm) are part of the current stable release 2.2.1 of the K Desktop Environment.
