Cornelius Schumacher posted the
current roadmap for
KDE-PIM-development to the KDE-PIM-mailinglist.
|
The KDE-PIM-suite consists of the following components:
|
 |
KMail, an email client that is designed to be fully
compatible with Internet mailing standards including MIME, SMTP, POP3 and IMAP. |
 |
KAddressbook, an addressbook
viewer / frontend for KDE. |
 |
KOrganizer, the calendar and
scheduling program for KDE. |
 |
KPilot is a replacement for the
Palm Desktop software from Palm Inc, which makes your Palm/Palm Pilot/Visor computer capable of
exchanging information with your Linux powered computer. |
 |
Kandy aims at providing synchronisation
of phonebook, organizer and other data on your mobile phone with the data stored on the desktop. |
 |
Karm tracks time spent on
various tasks. It is useful for tracking hours to be billed to different clients or just to find out
what percentage of your day is spent playing Doom or reading Slashdot. |
 |
KAlarm provides a quick way of
setting up alarm/reminder messages to yourself. The messages pop up on the screen at the time you
specify. |
All PIM-applications mentioned above (except KAlarm) are part of the current stable release 2.2.1 of the
K Desktop Environment.
