Change Case Dialog

You can open the Change Case dialog only when some text is selected. If you try to open it while no text is selected, you get a warning message telling you that the current selection is empty. Click on 'OK' to dismiss this message. If you do have text selected, the dialog opens.

Case Options

You can change the case of the selection in five different ways.

Sentence case. This option sets the first letter of the selection to upper case, and leaves the rest unchanged. It does not change the first letter of every sentence, and it does not change a sentence written entirely in upper case to one with an upper case first letter and lower case for the rest.

lowercase. This option changes all the letters in the selection to lower case.

UPPERCASE. This option changes all the letters in the selection to upper case.

Title Case. This option changes the first letter of each word to upper case. It does not change subsequent letters to lower case, so a word written entirely in upper case will not be affected.

tOGGLE cASE. This option changes lower case letters to upper case, and vice versa.
